- Monitoring and assessment of substance use and its trends in the country.
- Providing scientific grounds for policy making in demand reduction programs.
- Providing technical consultancy to policymakers and authorities regarding demand reduction programs.
- Evaluation of national demand reduction programs and recommendations for improving the quality and quantity of such programs.
- Training expert clinicians and scientists in the field of addiction.
Strategies
In order to achieve the mentioned goals and objectives, INCAS is following the below strategies:
- Implementing an open-door policy for collaboration with domestic and international agencies
- Facilitating recruitment of innovators and thinker
- Encourage political and scientific stakeholder to participate in operational processes of the center.
- Prioritizing the needs of policy makers, program developers and services providers in the country
- Active seeking of collaboration with other research, training and executive centers
- Continuous documentation of processes and publication and dissemination of the knowledge
