Mission:

  • Expansion and implementation of human knowledge in the field of addiction.
  • Conducting applied and basic research on epidemiological and clinical studies to improve the national health-care system.
  • Providing proper interventions to control substance use
  • Monitoring and assessment of substance use and its trends in the country.
  • Providing scientific grounds for policy making in demand reduction programs.
  • Providing technical consultancy to policymakers and authorities regarding demand reduction programs.
  • Evaluation of national demand reduction programs and recommendations for improving the quality and quantity of such programs.
  • Training expert clinicians and scientists in the field of addiction.

  • Implementing an open-door policy for collaboration with domestic and international agencies
  • Facilitating recruitment of innovators and thinker
  • Encourage political and scientific stakeholder to participate in operational processes of the center.
  • Prioritizing the needs of policy makers, program developers and services providers in the country
  • Active seeking of collaboration with other research, training and executive centers
  • Continuous documentation of processes and publication and dissemination of the knowledge
